Frequently Asked Questions
Do Clear Braces take longer
No.Today’s clear braces are designed to work just as efficiently as metal braces. Our treatment times have not increased since we stopped using metal braces.
Do I have to put colored rubber bands on my braces?
No. Our patients have the option of decorating their braces with colors or leaving them clear in order reduce visibility. It’s completely up to the patient. The clear braces look great with colors added to them. Without colors added, the braces are incredibly discreet.
Do Clear brackets cost more?
No. At our office we have never charged a higher fee for the use of clear braces or Invisalign
Are clear braces more brittle?
Not really. Technically they are more brittle, but this is not a bad thing. The forces that used to knock metal braces off the teeth now tend to chip a clear brace instead of taking it off the tooth. This is not dangerous at all. However the injection molded process used in Clarity Advanced braces makes them the strongest ceramic braces we’ve ever used.
